This week we had two major activities for both branches.
On Friday we had the activity with the English branch. We had a magic show by a group of people who came from America to serve and help with the refugees. One of the members of the group is a professional magician and so he does magic shows for the children and he also wanted to do one for the members and missionaries here in Athens. It was so cool! After the show we had a devotional by another group of people who came to serve the refugees. And they shared some of their thoughts and feelings of service. It was wonderful to hear it!!
On Saturday we had the Greek branch activity. One of the members, Diana organized it with the youth. And so all of the youth did a little play for the members and friends that came. And then we had games! It was so fun! We also had a mini vegetables and fruit building contest. It was hilarious!
On Sunday we had a special Sunday school class given by a senior couple named Stays. They are humanitarian missionaries and they go to different countries helping out the situation with the refugees. They started of by reading Deuteronomy 24:19-21 and it talks about how when you are in the fields you wont always get all the fruit or olives from the trees or the vineyard. But thats ok. Because God wants it to be left for others to be able to have as well. I like that even at the end of the verse 19 it promises blessings of when we leave it for the others to take. It is cool because God is saying I can bless you, when you think of others and serve them. And I have seen that in missionary work for sure. When we do all we can to serve people around us, may it be small or big, it makes a difference. It was a great Sunday school lesson.
I hope you all have a great week!
I love you all,
