Week 38 Salvo's Miracle

We had a lesson planned to see Diletta but we didnt know that her husband, Salvo was coming. He came and had his Book of Mormon with him and the entire lesson he just asked questions about the Book of Mormon. He was telling us how it was just a regular book with war in it. We explained to him that if he continued reading the book and prayed about it he would receive an answer that it is a book from God. He said he would continue reading. The following day we got a call from Diletta telling us that Salvo wants to meet up with us and wants us to set up an appointment with the elders in Turkey to have a skype lesson with them after we talk. He came and this time when he came he was quiet and he told us he was sorry. He read from Helaman to Mormon and said he felt something. He realized the book was from God. He started crying and shaking. He said he had never cried before in his life. He had never felt or seen anything like this book before. He told us how in the beginning he was reading it to prove it was wrong. But he said it is completely true. He had a lesson with the elders and he couldn't stop smiling. He told the elders he would read the book again. But before he left he told us he still hadn't received a clear answer about if the church was true. The very next day Diletta called us in the morning telling us that he got his answer. He had a dream in the night of God and how what he was hearing from us and the Book was true. He came to church with Diletta and wanted to bear his testimony of how he has found the truth! He was so excited! But he wasnt able to because we had a live broadcast for the District Conference at church. The Bishop told him he could share his testimony next sunday:)
For the District Conference the missionaries sang. And I was asked to sing a duet for it. It was very fun! We had a lot of members come from Nicosia. We also made three different cakes to bring to the potluck that we had after church.
We also helped Diletta this week with English class. We will now be teaching english and greek class for them both.
We also had a lesson with Ruth. She is a lady from the Philippines. Her children and husband are all still over there and she is working here to provide for them. We have Skype lessons with her because she is a maid and has to work all day, everyday and needs to be at the house. When we had skype this week with her she was very touched by the spirit. She told us how God has got her back and will watch over her. We told her about how the gospel blesses families and that God will take care of her and her family. She started crying and asked if she could have more lessons with us. I know God takes care of all His children. And has blessed us with the gospel and Book of Mormon. I know living the gospel brings the most happiness.
I love you all!!
Sister Ramsay

We also biked 40km in the sun to visit a lady high up in the hills:)
